The agent of Lorenzo Insigne has reiterated his client’s belief that he’ll return for Napoli in March.
The Italian international has been sidelined since November after suffering a cruciate ligament injury, and was initially expected to be out for the rest of the season.
However, the forward has stated that he aims to return to the Partenopei side in March, and the player’s agent has today also set that target.
“Insigne is on a schedule dictated by Dr [Paolo] Mariani,” Antonio Ottaiano revealed in an interview with Radio Crc.
“It’s going really well, and the lad is keen to return and speed up the process. Insigne’s return is scheduled for mid-March.”
Insigne’s teammate Gonzalo Higuain celebrated his winning goal against Lazio this weekend by unveiling a shirt with the diminutive forward’s name and number on it.
“The feeling is that the team can’t wait for Insigne to come back and play with them, I think that was a symbolic tribute.
“His relationship with the entire team is great, and in fact Lorenzo is always with them.
“It goes without saying that the shirt Higuain showed was very emotional for Insigne, it was very gratifying.”
