New Inter signing Marcelo Brozovic says he hopes to emulate Frank Lampard, as he’s presented to fans and media.
The 22-year-old has joined the Nerazzurri from Dinamo Zagreb in his native Croatia, and has spoken of his joy after completing the move.
“I’ve always wanted to play here,” Brozovic told assembled media.
“It’s a great team, with great history. I’ve never experienced such passionate fans, it’s really something special.
“I’m happy to be here, and I hope I can justify the club’s investment in me. I’m very young, and I hope to improve and become a complete player in a few years.
“I’m a midfielder, I can play defensive midfield or box-to-box depending on the formation. I really like Frank Lampard and I hope to be like him.
“I love English football, but the Italian League is very fast and technical. I prefer it.
“Milan? They were interested, but I didn’t know much about it. I chose Inter because the conditions were good and there were a lot of players I knew.
“[Mateo] Kovacic? He told me he’ll always be nearby if I need any help.”
