“I am happy to be here,” said the Dutch international to reporters.
“I was not fitting in at Roma and had already thought about leaving before the call came from Atalanta.

“I am satisfied with my first few minutes in a Nerazzurri jersey. I hadn’t played for a while, so am still lacking match fitness and am not at 100 per cent.
“I am still content with the debut and the three points, which are very important for our campaign. Now we must continue like this.”
