“We just finished the training session and everything is going well,” the Coach told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“I think my Napoli is in good shape and we’re happy with what we’ve done so far in 2015. I believe the team has the right mentality and is doing well physically. It’s all positive now, but everything can change after each game.

“Everyone knows they can be a part of this line-up and that they must train harder to earn their place. This healthy competition makes everyone in the squad stronger.”

Benitez is known for his squad rotation, so will he rest players one booking away from suspension, such as Gokhan Inler, David Lopez, Dries Mertens, Raul Albiol and Faouzi Ghoulam?

“Nothing changes as far as we are concerned. I will pick the best line-up to win the game.”

Napoli are just four points adrift of second-placed Roma, but could they get back into the title race too?

“I think Allegri said we’re in the running for the Scudetto to calm us down. Our objective must be to take it one game at a time.

“For second place never say never, but first we have to do what needs doing against Udinese and then look forward.”

Benitez was also asked about rumours he is considering an offer from Paris Saint-Germain, but brushed off the question.

“The most important thing is to be concentrated on Udinese. There’s time to discuss the future.”
