Roma are said to be chasing Sporting midfielder Bubacar Djalo, dubbed ‘the new Paul Pogba’.
The 18-year-old, who has both Guinean and Portuguese citizenship has made five appearances in this season’s Uefa Youth League, scoring one and notching one assist.
According to Calciomercato, the Giallorossi are leading the chase for Djalo, with Milan, Juventus and Napoli also interested.
The website reports that the midfielder’s contract expires at the end of the season, leaving him free to negotiate with other clubs.
It’s believed that Djalo is keen to move to one of Europe’s top Leagues, meaning Roma could face competition both from within Serie A and from La Liga, the Bundesliga and the English Premier League.
