Tommasi: ‘Nothing has changed’

Damiano Tommasi hits out at the leadership of Parma, with wages still unpaid - ‘the situation has not changed at all’.

Tommasi, head of players’ union, the AIC, is at Collecchio meeting with the Ducali players, who have still not received any wages since July.

President Giampietro Manenti has blamed red-tape for the money not going through, and a deadline for payment was extended by the players.

“We’re in constant contact with Parma’s players,” Tommasi told Sky outside the training ground.

“I hope I don’t have to, but I guess I’ll have to come back. It’s Thursday and the situation has not changed, it’s identical to Tuesday.

“Still there is nothing new. We’re waiting for the President. We’re also talking with the club, we expect some kind of concrete action.

“I don’t know why they haven’t come up with the money, we hope to resolve the situation as soon as possible.”
