A meeting between the mayor of Parma, and the President of the town’s football club has been delayed until Friday.
A meeting was expected to take place today, with the Ducali in crisis as players and staff go unpaid, and bailiffs seize equipment from the training ground.
However, Federico Pizzarotti, the mayor of Parma, has announced on his official Twitter profile that the summit will now take place at the end of the week.
“A meeting with [President Giampietro] Manenti is moved to Friday,” the mayor wrote.
“I appeal to his sense of responsibility. Concrete guarantees now, or stand aside immediately.”
Pizzarotti then signed off using the #SaveParma hashtag which has come to be associated with the crisis.
