UEFA has announced that Russian and Ukrainian teams will be kept apart during this afternoon’s Europa League draw.

There is an ongoing conflict in Ukraine between pro-Russian forces and the current government which came to power following the Ukrainian Revolution.

"According to the decision of the UEFA Emergency Panel teams from Russia and Ukraine cannot be drawn together.” European football’s governing body said in a statement.

That means that Dinamo Moscow and Zenit St Petersburg cannot be drawn with either Dinamo Kiev or Dnipro.

There are five Italian sides represented in the hat for the Last 16; Torino, Roma, Napoli, Inter and Fiorentina.

The draw takes place at 12pm GMT.
