While Sky Sport Italia demand Parma play their Serie A games, the auction of club assets was a total failure.

The club is on the verge of going under and a bankruptcy hearing is planned for March 19.

In the meantime, bailiffs seized everything from vehicles, medical and gym equipment to benches from the locker room over unpaid bills.

Today the auction was held of these seized items and it proved to be a flop, as the vast majority were left unsold.

Today the auction was held of these seized items and it proved to be a flop, as the vast majority were left unsold.

Only two nine-seater mini-buses used by the youth team and a van from the kit staff were sold at auction for just under €20,000.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia are pushing to get Parma back on to the pitch after their last two Serie A games were postponed.

The pay-per-view television company handed over Parma’s share of rights money early and sent a letter to the Lega Serie A urging them to get the fixture list back on track.

“We cannot help but manifest our grave and growing concern over what is happening to Parma and consequently to the entire League, making this season become irregular.

“We are astounded that it has reached this point without you taking any steps to prevent it.”

Sponsors have offered to provide the funds for Parma to play the next two games, but it remains to be seen whether the players will accept it.

They are seeking more long-term guarantees for everyone at the club, whose last wages were either in July 2014 or November.
