Italian international Domenico Criscito will remain in Russia until 2018, after renewing his contract with Zenit St Petersburg.
The 28-year-old, who played and scored in the Europa League against Torino last night, has been with Zenit since 2011, when he moved from Genoa.
On the Russian side’s official website, it was confirmed that the former Juventus man will remain until 2018, with a short statement from Criscito confirming his happiness.
“Before signing I talked with my family,” the defender said.
“We’re all happy here, I want to stay with Zenit for as long as possible.”
Since making his Azzurri debut in August 2009, Criscito has represented his country 22 times, with his last cap coming in a friendly with Spain in March of last year.
