Milan defender Philippe Mexes admits it will be ‘difficult’ to qualify for Europe but ‘we have to do our best’.
The Rossoneri are ninth in Serie A, with sixth place almost certain to be the final Europa League spot.
Jeremy Menez said today that the club ‘deserves’ to be involved in European competition, but his compatriot warns that it will be a tough task.
“This is my fourth season at Milan, and when I arrived there were many champions,” the Frenchman said in a Google Hangout.
“After that there was a big change. I had the pleasure of playing with some very good players. The change happened, but now we have to do our best to get back up [to where we were before].
“We have to try and do well in the next 10 games to reach the Europa League. We know it’s difficult, but we’re representing Milan, and it’s a big responsibility to wear this shirt.
“It’s famous all over the world.”
