Prandelli for Napoli job?

Cesare Prandelli is the latest Coach to be heavily linked with the Napoli bench should Rafa Benitez walk away.

Benitez’s contract expires in June and he is widely expected to leave for a return to the Premier League or to take over at Paris Saint-Germain.

Luciano Spalletti, Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella and Sampdoria’s Sinisa Mihajlovic have been mentioned as possible replacements.

Now CalcioNapoli24.it claims that ex-Italy manager Prandelli is a genuine candidate for the Stadio San Paolo.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis was also believed to have offered Prandelli a two-year contract worth €3.5m in 2013, but he rejected it to remain with Italy.

Prandelli resigned as Azzurri Coach in the summer of 2014, after crashing out of the World Cup in the group stage.

He then joined Galatasaray only to be sacked by the Turkish club within months.
