Midfielder Hernanes urges fans to get behind Inter to help them back to 'the top of world football’.
The Nerazzurri are a long way from the summit of the game at the moment, lying ninth in Serie A, 30 points behind leaders Juventus, but the former Lazio midfielder promises things will get better.
“Over these days [during the international break] we’ve worked well,” Hernanes said in an interview with Inter’s official television channel.
“We’re taking advantage of this period to improve. I invite the fans to come and see the start of Inter’s climb to the top of world football.
“The Coach [Roberto Mancini] has us working on the technical side of the game, he wants as few mistakes as possible, both defensively and offensively.
“We’re ready to return to the field with a clear conscience. We’re preparing to take Inter to the top, that’s what we want for this team.”
