Napoli striker Eduardo Vargas, on loan to Queens Park Rangers, is out for the season with a knee injury.
The Chilean joined the Premier League club last summer, after loan spells at Brazilian side Gremio and La Liga's Valencia.
The 25-year-old was subbed off last Saturday in the 4-1 victory against West Brom, after scoring the opener.
Vargas was diagnosed with a grade two medial collateral ligament injury, which will sideline him for up to three months.
The player will not return to the pitch until the end of his loan to QPR, when Napoli will have to decide whether to bring him back or find another solution for him.
