It’s reported that Inter have delayed an official renewal for Mauro Icardi, but a deal is still in place between the two parties.
It was reported last month that a new contract running until 2019 had been agreed, with the player taking home around €2.6m, plus bonuses.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports that pen was to be officially put to paper today, but that meeting has now been postponed.
The reason the newspaper gives is that one of the player’s representatives, Abian Moreno, is in Milan, but wishes to talk with either sporting director Piero Ausilio or President Erick Thohir, who are both unavailable.
It’s not thought that this would be a barrier to the deal being signed, with an official announcement expected in the coming weeks.
