Gonzalo Rodriguez insists Fiorentina “don’t feel the pressure” of a Europa League quarter-final with Dynamo Kiev.

The first leg ended 1-1, so the Viola could go through even with a goalless stalemate, but have shown in the past that positive initial results are not always good for them.

“We have very experienced players who love to take part in these games. There is no pressure,” assured the defender in a Press conference.

The first leg ended 1-1, so the Viola could go through even with a goalless stalemate, but have shown in the past that positive initial results are not always good for them.

“We have very experienced players who love to take part in these games. There is no pressure,” assured the defender in a Press conference.

“We can always improve, but we did well in Kiev and drew a match we deserved to win. We must throw ourselves into it, assume it’s 0-0 and win to qualify.”

As Fiorentina lost the Coppa Italia Final last season and went out in the semi-finals to Juventus this term, is this their best chance of winning silverware?

“We all want to win something, but it’s not easy. We are so close in the Europa League, but have to take it slowly.

“In the Coppa Italia we lost to the strongest team in Italy, so the important thing is to be there challenging for trophies.

“Dynamo Kiev play good football and have a talented squad, but the game depends on us and our style of football. We must play the way we always have done.

“Of course it’s more difficult for us when we face teams who clam up and try only to defend, as that’s tougher for our approach. That’s why we have more spaces and better results away from home.”
