Rafa Benitez celebrated knocking Wolfsburg out of the Europa League, but will decide his future after “seeing Napoli’s plans.”

The Partenopei had already booked their spot in the semi-finals with a 4-1 first leg victory, but were pegged back 2-2 at the Stadio San Paolo by a brave Wolfsburg performance.

“We struggled against a strong side, but my lads were fantastic both in the first leg and the second,” the Coach told Sport Mediaset.

This is Napoli’s first European semi-final for 26 years and they are probably the favourites for the trophy.

“It is very positive to be where we are now. Great challenges await us in Serie A and in Europe.”

Napoli go into tomorrow’s semi-final draw with Fiorentina, Sevilla and Dnipro.

“They are all three top level teams, so it will not be easy. We’ll see who we pick, but we will face them with both respect and awareness of our own quality.

“I think we’ve shown over these two games that we are a strong side. If I can choose, I’d rather face Fiorentina in the Final than the semi-final.”

Benitez was again asked about his future and confirmed it’s all about the project put forward by President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

“I am waiting. We will speak in a few days, I want to know what his plans are for the future and if he feels I am a part of those plans. Nothing has changed, so I am still waiting to see the business plan.”
