Dynamo Kiev Coach Serhiy Rebrov felt Jeremain Lens deserved a penalty instead of a red card against Fiorentina.

The Dutch international received a second yellow card for simulation after 39 minutes in the 2-0 Europa League quarter-final defeat.

“I spoke to the player and he said that there was contact. Unfortunately, there’s not much else we can say,” noted Rebrov in a Press conference.

“I spoke to the player and he said that there was contact. Unfortunately, there’s not much else we can say,” noted Rebrov in a Press conference.

“The games against Everton and Guingamp were also tough and tonight was extremely difficult for us.

“I complimented the lads anyway, because they are unaccustomed to facing teams like Fiorentina in Ukraine.

“I now wish Dnipro well in the semi-finals, as it’s a good advert for Ukrainian football.”

Fiorentina go into the Europa League semi-final draw with Dnipro, Napoli and Sevilla.
