Gasp: 'Genoa want Milan now'

Gian Piero Gasperini hopes Genoa can continue their fine form against Milan after disposing of Cesena 3-1.

“Regardless of what the other teams do, it was important that we got this positive result today,” the Coach told Rai Sport.

Their European ambitions are still alive, especially if they can also beat Milan in Wednesday’s midweek round.

“It was another good performance, an excellent result and our position in the standings is good. There are six rounds to go and if we’ve got to this stage, it’s only right we keep pushing.

“Milan remain a top level team and have done good things in fits and starts. It’s just an off season.”
