Inter midfielder Hernanes admits the Nerazzurri players were ‘ashamed’ after drawing at home to bankrupt Parma.
Roberto Mancini’s men were held by the rock-bottom Ducali on April 4, but have since won three of their next four games, putting themselves back into contention of a European place.
“The draw at home, in front of our fans, against Parma made us feel very ashamed,” Hernanes confessed in an interview with Mediaset.
“We hit rock-bottom at that moment.
“Before, we weren’t winning, and we couldn’t correct our mistakes, now everything has changed and we always try to improve, even when we win.
“After Udine, Mancini was right to complain after the game, he pointed out our errors and he was quite right to do so.
“Europe? Playing 38 games is not a lot for Inter, the more games we have, the better it is for this club.
“We have to focus on what we’re doing right now and we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.
“My personal goal here at Inter is to win a trophy. I’ve always achieved my goals, and I want to achieve this one too.”
