According to today’s paper, on Saturday defender Rami discovered he would not be in the starting XI at the Stadio San Paolo.
It’s alleged he was furious, got into an argument with Coach Inzaghi and then stormed off.
However, the defender responded via Twitter this morning: "The story on me is false. I am injured with athletic pubalgia."
Rami was notably absent from the squad travelling to Naples.
Philippe Mexes, Ignazio Abate and Jeremy Menez are suspended, while Suso, Riccardo Montolivo, Stephan El Shaarawy, Luca Antonelli and Michael Essien are injured.
Despite the lack of options, it seems as if Rami was again due to be snubbed a place in the back four.
This is not the first time there have been reports of arguments between Inzaghi and his players, though the club always denied them.
