FantAntonio has been repeatedly linked with a return to Samp, especially after President Massimo Ferrero announced he’s interested in signing Mario Balotelli from Liverpool.

He had perhaps the best spell of his career with the Blucerchiati from 2007 to January 2010, when he left following a furious row with then-President Riccardo Garrone.

Cassano has said on numerous occasions that argument was his biggest career regret.
