“We had a good week in training and kept the adrenaline pumping, because we don’t want to give Roma an easy ride,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“At this moment, the Giallorossi are the toughest opponents because they are highly motivated to get into the Champions League and are fighting it out for position with their strongest rivals.
“The squad was even put into a training retreat, which is rare, so will be even more eager to do well.”
Udinese seemed to be almost on vacation last week when beaten 4-1 at home by Sampdoria.
“The last 25 minutes must be a valuable lesson. Up until 2-0 Udinese were well in the game, seeing a goal disallowed and hitting the woodwork.
“We were wrong to let go towards the end and worked on this aspect throughout the week. The main issue going towards next season is to eliminate these dips in concentration. The team cannot and must not relax every time it does something good.
“Udinese have improved, but this remains a major fault and we want to fix it. We’ll start with these next three games, which is why I tried to fire up the squad.”
Antonio Di Natale has not recovered in time to make the trip, missing out along with Molla Wague and Lucas Evangelista.
