Oscar Font Calmet, agent of the Spaniard, claimed that Falque intends to respect his contract and that his future doesn’t depend on Europa League participation.

“He is very comfortable in Genoa, and still has three years left on his contract,” Calmet told FcInterNews.

“He is relaxed and happy ,but if offers came in then we would assess them together with the club.

"Obviously, Inter would be a major destination. We are talking about Inter, a great club that has a great history, a global club.

“At the moment we haven’t had any contact. I repeat, Iago has a contract in place and anyone who wants to try to buy him will have to first talk with Genoa.

“It wouldn’t influence Iago at all whether Genoa obtained the UEFA license or not.

“Obviously the Europa League would be a good competition for him to prove himself, and maybe some other players would see things differently if they couldn’t compete in it, but for Iago this wouldn’t be a problem.

“The player is extremely relaxed and is happy with his experience here. There is great chemistry between him, the coach, his teammates, the club and the fans.”
