Mattia Perin’s agent says moving to Inter is ‘a possibility’ for his client, but denies he’s spoken with the Nerazzurri.
Samir Handanovic is expected to leave the Beneamata at the end of the season, and the Genoa ‘keeper is by many as an ideal replacement.
“No-one has contacted me or Genoa,” Moreno Roggi informed Sportpaper.
“If offers come in, then we’ll make our assessments, they should talk to the club first though.
“Inter? Yes, they’re one of the names, [but] as well as the Nerazzurri there could be other options.
“It’s normal that, for a national team player like Mattia, because of his age and the performances he’s putting in, a big club would want to make a serious investment on a player who could play for 15 years.
“That’s not to say a deal will be done though, those are just logical assumptions around Perin. Inter have never talked with me about him.”
The also revealed that the ‘keeper’s preference is to remain with the Grifone for next season.
“The lad’s intention is to stay in Rossoblu for another year. He wants to continue to mature here, because let’s not forget: he isn’t 23 yet.”
