Mourinho: ‘Cuadrado will stay’

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho pours cold water on Inter interest in Juan Cuadrado - ‘Cuadrado is not going anywhere’.

The Colombian winger joined the English side from Fiorentina in the January transfer window, but failed to hold down a regular place in the team.

That had led to speculation that the Nerazzurri would seek to bring him back to Serie A on an initial loan deal this summer, but the Portuguese manager insists the player is going nowhere.

“Cuadrado is not going anywhere this summer,” Mourinho told DirecTV.

“People don't know Cuadrado yet, I have seen him many times when we were both in Italy, me at Inter and him at Udinese.

“Because of that I have a lot of hopes for him for next season. I hope in the Copa America he can regain his self-esteem, his ego and that he has that joy of playing.”
