Marotta: 'Pirlo stays, Tevez this week'

Juventus director Beppe Marotta believes Andrea Pirlo will stay and wants an answer from Carlos Tevez “by the end of the week.”

Both stars are considering moves abroad, as Pirlo has an offer from MLS club New York City FC, while Tevez could return to his beloved Boca Juniors.

“As things stand today, there’s no reason for Pirlo to leave,” Marotta told Sport Mediaset at the Expo event.

“As for Tevez, we will respect his decision, but we want an answer by the end of the week. We think that is only fair for everyone.”

Marotta also commented on other transfer gossip surrounding the Bianconeri.

“We know that Paul Pogba is a player who many clubs would like to have. Geoffrey Kondogbia is of no interest to us.

“Domenico Berardi is co-owned with Sassuolo and we will meet the club to define everything.”
