Lorenzo Crisetig urged Italy’s Under-21 side to face England “with clear heads” after their 0-0 draw with Portugal.

Today’s stalemate means they have just one point in European Championship Group B, while Portugal lead with four, England and Sweden have three.

“It was a great performance, but we lacked the goal and therefore the result. A victory is now the only way to progress to the semi-finals,” Crisetig told Rai Sport.

Even a win over England on Wednesday night could not be enough, as if Sweden draw with Portugal then they’ll have the superior head-to-head record.

“We certainly have to step on to the field with clear heads and not think about the other game. Then we’ll see what happens.”
