Chievo have signed striker Lucas Nahuel Castro from Serie B side Catania. “Rolando Maran was my first Coach in Italy.”
The Argentine put pen to paper on a three-year contract and was presented to the media today.
“I am happy to be here in Verona. I really wanted to make this move and fortunately we managed to push it through,” said the 29-year-old.
“I really like Maran, as he was my first Coach in Italy. It’ll be great to work with him again. The same goes for Mariano Izco, who I missed when he left Catania.”
Castro will wear shirt No 19 and revealed his nickname ‘Pata’ means “bigfoot. I’ve been called that since childhood.”
In Serie B this season he scored six goals and provided two assists.
