Carlos Bacca said goodbye to Sevilla fans ahead of his transfer to Milan. “I am feeling joy and sadness.”

The Colombia international wrote an open letter to supporters via social media.

“It is difficult to explain the contradictory sentiments that I am feeling right now, joy and sadness at the same moment.

“On the one hand I am sad because I’m leaving a club that is very special for me and for my family. Sevilla have made a childhood dream come true, to play in one of the best Leagues in the world against the strongest players every weekend.

“Sevilla helped me grow as a man and as a player, allowing me to live in one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen.

“I am leaving and I want to first of all thank the directors and President who believed in me. All my teammates over these past two seasons, the coaching staff with Unai Emery at the top.

“Together we achieved triumphs that I never could’ve imagined. Finally, all those who work and have worked for this club. This great club. Thank you.

“I also thank the Press. I am not someone who talks much, but the media always treated me with respect. Thank you.

“Finally, I thank the fans, who supported me always in the good and not so good moments. You will forever be in my heart. Thank you so much.”
