Miranda: ‘Mancini key to Inter move’

Joao Miranda admits Inter Coach Roberto Mancini was a key factor in his decision to join the club.

The Brazilian defender has joined from Atletico Madrid, and admits the prospect of working with Mancio was too good to turn down.

“During the negotiations with Inter, I asked about Mancini,” Miranda told Goal.

“I always got excellent feedback, that was very important in reaching an agreement with Inter. I’m sure Mancini will help me improve a lot, and I think this will be the start of a beautiful relationship.”

Miranda also reveals that he sought advice about the city before committing to a move.

“I asked Thiago Silva, Kaka and [Philippe] Coutinho, and they raved about the city. It seems a bit like Madrid in terms of the lifestyle, and that was another thing that contributed to my decision.

“There were no doubts about Milan.”
