Watford owner Gino Pozzo has ruled out the possibility of Inter’s Davide Santon moving to London, but says he likes Saphir Taider.
The full-back has been linked with a switch to the newly-promoted Premier League outfit, but the transfer appears to have hit a road block.
However, Pozzo hinted at a move for Algeria international Taider, who spent last season on loan at Sassuolo.
“There has been no breakthrough to bring the Santon to London,” Pozzo told FCInterNews.
“On the contrary, I can say that the negotiations are now closed and there are no longer conditions to continue.
“I see no particular enthusiasm in the lad, despite all the time we gave him to reflect and evaluate.
“We like Taider, it’s a hypothesis we are considering.”
