Napoli are expected to take goalkeeper Gabriel on loan from Milan, sending Luigi Sepe to Fiorentina.
It’s a goalkeeping merry-go-round at the Stadio San Paolo.
According to Sky Sport Italia and Mediaset Premium, Gabriel will spend this season as understudy to Pepe Reina at Napoli.
He impressed last term in Serie B with Carpi, allowing them to win the League title and promotion with a record 23 clean sheets in 39 games.
Carpi had asked to take Gabriel on loan again, but it’s reported Napoli are getting the upper hand instead.
In turn, Napoli will loan shot-stopper Sepe – who spent last season at Empoli – to Fiorentina.
His agent confirmed the deal is “99 per cent” done for Sepe to be first choice in Florence for a year.
