Leonardo Bonucci says Juventus are beginning a ‘new era’ after he signed an extension until 2020.
The Bianconeri held a Press conference today to announce the defender’s new deal, and the Italy international reflected on the club’s current situation.
"It's the start of a new era,” he said.
“I'm here to offer my years of experience to help those who have joined the club.
"We've maintained our strong spine. This is vital for us to build on and go in search of further successes.
"Juventus have a long-term plan. We're seeing a new generation coming through with quality young players.
"Winning a fifth Scudetto in a row will be tough but we've got the right motivation to tackle this challenge.
"I've had plenty of great times in these past four years. The goal against Roma was an important moment.
"Daniele Rugani is a defender who will form an important part of the future for Juventus and Italy.
"I was delighted when Juve came calling in 2010, just as I am now. It's down to us to begin an even more successful era."
