Atalanta peg QPR back

Atalanta earned a positive 1-1 draw away to QPR with a fantastic Jasmin Kurtic long-range volley.

This friendly was organised at Loftus Road after a planned encounter with Besiktas was cancelled due to security concerns.

It was the Italians who took the lead after 13 minutes thanks to a spectacular Kurtic volley from 25 yards out.

Sebastian Polter went close and Marco Sportiello parried after a Tjaronn Chery free kick came off the upright, while Maxi Moralez, Gaetano Monachello and Matt Phillips also threatened.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas came off the bench and found the equaliser within 120 seconds of stepping on to the field, aided by a deflection.

Richmond Boakye threatened an Atalanta winner late on, nodding off target.
