Newly-promoted Serie B side Calcio Como have signed Udinese goalkeeper Simone Scuffet and Inter’s Daniel Bessa.

The tiny club stepped up from Lega Pro this summer and is eager to make a good impression.

Today they officially added Scuffet to their ranks on loan from Udinese.

He had shot to fame when making his Serie A debut at the age of 17, earning comparisons with Gigi Buffon and calls to be included in the 2014 World Cup squad.

He had shot to fame when making his Serie A debut at the age of 17, earning comparisons with Gigi Buffon and calls to be included in the 2014 World Cup squad.

Scuffet turned down an offer to join Atletico Madrid a year ago because he needed to finish his studies in Udine first.

He barely set foot on the field last season, dropped in favour of Orestis Karnezis, and will now play at Como to gain experience.

Also joining Como on loan is 22-year-old Inter midfielder Bessa.
