Milan will meet with Roma over dinner this evening, as the €30m Alessio Romagnoli saga steps up a gear.

It was reported today that Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani would welcome director of sport Walter Sabatini to his beach office in Forte dei Marmi.

Now several sources suggest the meeting will be over dinner on the Versilia coastal resort.

Galliani already met with agent Sergio Berti on Saturday, agreeing personal terms for a five-year contract worth €2m per season.

Galliani already met with agent Sergio Berti on Saturday, agreeing personal terms for a five-year contract worth €2m per season.

The 20-year-old defender has always pushed for this transfer, but the two clubs are yet to settle on a fee.

Milan offered €25m plus €3m bonuses, but Roma are holding out for the full €30m asking price.

That gap could be bridged with this evening’s negotiations, particularly with the inclusion of more add-ons.
