The centre-back is ready to make the transfer to Ligue 1 for €9m.
“Negotiations with Roma are at an advanced stage,” President Jean-Michel Aulas told L’Equipe.
“We will continue discussions over the weekend. There are few of his level around on the transfer market.
“We hope to close the deal on Monday or Tuesday.”

Roma are set to make a small profit on the 26-year-old, as they paid €8.5m to sign him from Newcastle United.
The Giallorossi are releasing Yanga-Mbiwa and expect Lucas Digne to arrive from PSG for his medical tomorrow.
