Alessio Romagnoli will reportedly wear Alessandro Nesta’s old number 13 shirt when he finally completes his Milan move.
The defender is on the verge of sealing a transfer from Roma, and is expected to arrive in Milan today before undergoing a medical tomorrow.
Calciomercato reports that the deal will be worth €25m, plus €3m in bonuses, meaning the two parties have met in the middle following the Rossoneri’s €25m offer and the Lupi’s €30m asking price.
The website believes the €3m in bonuses will be made up of €2m in appearance-based fees, which are easily attainable, with the other €1m contingent on Milan qualifying for the Champions League.
The site also reports that Romangoli will take over Alessandro Nesta’s old number 13 shirt, which Nesta wore for 10 seasons, making over 300 appearances as well as winning two Scudetti and two Champions League titles.
