Alberto Gilardino’s representatives will meet with Palermo tomorrow to negotiate a transfer, according to reports.
Rosanero goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino declared today he’d personally pick the 2006 World Cup winner up from the airport if he were to arrive, and it seems he may have to make good on that claim.
Sky reports that Giardino’s entourage will meet the Sicilian club tomorrow, in order to try and establish the basis of a deal.
Palermo would have to pay a transfer fee to his current club, Guangzhou Evergrande, meaning the transfer would not be cheap.
However, with 178 goals in Serie A, Giardino is a proven top-flight goalscorer, something the Rosanero are in need of with the departure of Paulo Dybala to Juventus.
