Juventus analyse transfer targets Julian Draxler, Henrik Mkhitaryan and Ilkay Gundogan, but who is the favourite?

The Bianconeri made no secret of their intention to sign a trequartista to play between the lines this summer and time is running out.

There are differing reports of who is in pole position for that role, though the race is narrowed down to three candidates.

Juve already had an offer for Draxler rejected by Schalke 04 and are ready for a new push.

Juve already had an offer for Draxler rejected by Schalke 04 and are ready for a new push.

According to Tuttosport and the Corriere dello Sport, director Beppe Marotta will fly to Germany and hope to get the deal done by Wednesday.

If the latest proposal for Draxler is also rejected, offering €20m plus €7m in bonuses for the injury-prone youngster, then they’ll strike for Borussia Dortmund’s Mkhitaryan instead.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest Gundogan is rising up the ranks in Coach Max Allegri’s view.

The 24-year-old German international also plays for Borussia Dortmund, so the negotiations would be held simultaneously for Gundogan and Mkhitaryan.

Juventus face competition, as Gundogan is also of interest to Manchester United.
