The fixture list for the Serie B 2015-16 season has finally been drawn up, starting with a Salernitana-Avellino derby.

The season itself is due to kick off on Saturday September 5, while it concludes on May 20 before the play-offs.

This moment was delayed by the match-fixing allegations that hit clubs in Serie B and Lega Pro.

The fact some appeals processes are still going means there are X and Y in the calendar until the 22 teams are finalised.

Catania were demoted to Lega Pro and Teramo into Serie D, so Virtus Entella and Ascoli are expected to replace them in Serie B.

Parma were also removed from the tournament after bankruptcy, as they begin again from Serie D.

“Despite everything, we come back stronger than ever,” insisted Lega Serie B President Andrea Abodi at the presentation.

“We salute the fans and all those who want a fair and credible football.”
