Julian Draxler is pushing for a move to Juventus, with reports he’s rejected an extension at Schalke.
It was reported last night that talks had restarted for the 21-year-old, who is the Bianconeri’s number one target for the trequartista position.
Now Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Draxler has rejected a new and improved Schalke contract, as he is determined to join the Old Lady.
The newspaper believes this evening could be crucial, with a difference of just €2m between the two parties.
The Bundesliga side are said to have dropped their demands from €30m up-front, and would now accept €27m, plus €5.5m in bonuses, payable in instalments.
Juventus, meanwhile, have raised their offer from €23m, and are now offering €25m plus up to €7.5m in bonuses.
That would represent the same total possible spend of €32.5m, so the only sticking point is how much of the fee is guaranteed and how much is made up of bonus payments.
