Valeri Bojinov spent most of his career in Italy and believes Bulgaria can cause an upset in tonight’s Euro 2016 qualifier.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) at the Stadio Barbera in Palermo.

“We have many strong players, but they don’t get much time on the field at club level and that is a problem,” the Partizan Belgrade striker told Sky Sport Italia.

Bojinov effectively started his career at Lecce, then went on to Fiorentina, Juventus, Manchester City, Parma, Sporting CP, Hellas Verona, Vicenza and Ternana.

He'll be watching tonight's game as a fan in Sicily.

“We will try to get a result and want to do well. We’ve nothing to prove, as we want to get points and will give our best.

“We played a very good game the last time and were only held to a draw because Italy’s quality eventually came through.”

Tonight Gigi Buffon will make his 150th appearance for Italy at senior level.

“He is a legend both for Italy and Juventus. I wish him all the best and hope he can continue for many more years,” added Bojinov.
