Arsenal and Manchester City scouts were spotted watching Daniele Rugani in Italy’s Under-21 qualifier.

The Juventus centre-back started the 1-0 victory over Slovenia at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia on Tuesday evening.

It’s believed they were keeping a close eye on Rugani, who had already been the subject of an approach from the Gunners this summer.

Rugani was a star at Empoli last season, the only defender to play every single minute of the tournament without getting a single card.

He hasn’t featured for Juventus yet, so a January loan is not out of the question, although the Bianconeri have no intention of selling the future of the Italy defence.
