Free agent Francesco Lodi has reportedly signed a contract with Udinese and should be confirmed shortly.

The midfielder has been unattached since leaving bankrupt Parma at the end of last season, but the Zebrette are believed to have found an agreement for his Serie A return.

Tuttomercatoweb have reported this morning that the 31-year-old has signed a deal with the Stadio Friuli outfit and can be considered an Udinese player.

No further details have emerged yet, but the playmaker appears to have returned to the club where he spent the 2009-10 season on loan from Empoli.

Lodi made 23 league appearances for Parma last season, scoring twice and contributing one assist.
