“We have to evaluate their strengths, but at the same time have our own style of football that we want to maintain.

“Domenico Berardi is a fundamental player for us, but those who replaced him during his absence did a sterling job. I am happy with the way Gregoire Defrel has settled in, but we have to decide whether he’ll play because he came out of the Roma game with a muscular problem.”

Sassuolo were twice in front at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday for a 2-2 draw with Scudetto hopefuls Roma.

“We conceded a splendid Mohamed Salah goal and another that was offside. Having said that, I am happy with the performance, though we shouldn’t have gone so deep in the second half.”
