Conte is due to sit in the stands at Marassi for today’s Serie A match between Genoa and Milan, kicking off at 11.30 UK time (10.30 GMT).

It’s widely believed he is there primarily to scout Balotelli and decide if he really has accepted a tougher work-rate and developed resistance to constantly being fouled.

Balo earned numerous free kicks against Udinese and was praised by media, Coach and teammates for not reacting.

Italy will face Azerbaijan on October 10 and Norway on November 13 in qualifying for Euro 2016.
