Genoa have officially announced a contract extension for goalkeeper Eugenio Lamanna.
The 26-year-old is ordinarily a backup for Mattia Perin, but has played all seven of the Grifone’s matches this season, with Perin injured.
“Genoa CFC announces that it has extended the contract of Eugenio Lamanna,” a statement on the club’s official website announced.
“The date of expiry has been extended to June 30, 2019.”
Lamanna also spoke to the club website, and expressed his happiness after committing to Genoa.
“I am happy and grateful to the Preziosi family and the directors. I’m happy because I have the privilege of representing the oldest club in Italy, and to grow professionally in the Genoa goalkeeping school.
“I want to share the joy of this day with the Coach [Gian Piero] Gasperini, the coaching staff, my family, my friends and the fans.”
