There seems to be a consensus within Italian media that the central defender will be headed for the Rossoneri in the winter transfer window.

Today's edition of the Corriere dello Sport agreed that the player will be leaving in January, but added that his final destination may be abroad.

The publication reports of an interest by Newcastle, Tottenham, Everton and Crystal Palace, and adds that Inter would prefer sending him abroad than handing him to their city rivals.

The option of his passage to Il Diavolo will only be considered if Milan relinquish their idea of picking up the player on a loan, and decide to spend the €12m demanded by the Biscione.

Their plan is reportedly to sell Ranocchia and reinvest the incoming capital immediately on another central defender.
